The Internet has been a boon in our lives. With the plethora of benefits that it offers, today we are almost lifeless without internet. So, on the occasion of 30th anniversary of the internet or the World Wide Web we are rewinding ourselves back to the start, from where it all began. In the year 1989, CERN, one of the globe’s largest physics lab was tired of the idea that all the information requires storing in multiple sets of computers. Tim Berners Lee came up with the idea of creating a unifying structure for connecting information all across the different computers of the globe. Therefore, he initiated a proposal known as the “Information Management: A Proposal” in March 1989 and by 1991, Lee’s vision of the global connectivity came into existence as the World Wide Web.

Thanks to Lee, with whose brilliant mastermind, we are getting access to various platforms of the world. after 30 years today, the world wide web has created a revolutionary impact on the globe. Google.com has marked an important occasion today with Doodle. I hope we all noticed the Google homepage today as it displays the logo of the company in a retro 8-bit style. On clicking the image, there us view of how the internet packets are streaming inside the computer for loading spinning earth. The concept of this animation is superb and amazing as it shows the development of the internet in a continuous loop.

Lee, the creator of the world wide web has recently said that he feels great about the opportunities that the internet has created recently. It is helping to make people’s daily life easier, garnering people with employment and finance, helping the e-commerce sectors to grow and allowing the marginalized and underprivileged people to raise their voice and so many other things. However, Lee also warned about the misuse of this web community where the scammers are entering and spreading cybercrimes, hatred, and theft.

Whatever the reason be, the world wide web has significantly established its foothold thus helping the entire world to move on in unison. Whether it is about earning knowledge or about dealing with some transaction. Everything has become possible today only because of Lee’s invention. We are highly blessed with such an offering which is helping the world in becoming a better place to live in.
